About Us

Alison Capeling is an individual home interiors and accessories business. As well as our expanding online mail order website we have a gorgeous little shop in Truro, Cornwall which is an Aladdin's cave of goodies for the home & garden lover.

Our main focus is on our collection of handmade items that make up a large proportion of the products we sell, all of which are designed and made in house by myself and my team of busy sewers to bring you not only country style, but chic coastal living for your home. We also source and sell a wide range of accessories that compliment our handmade products.

Founded in 2005 by myself Alison Capeling, we began trading as a mail order company called Country Gingham selling through the website which my partner, Chris and I ran from home. Due to its success, in 2008 we opened the Truro shop with the view to being able to show people the quality of our linens and home interiors.

Looking for new ways to develop Alison Capeling and providing a unique service to our customers is important to me. We are committed to maintaining quality and offering a personal touch even as the business grows.

We are really excited about the future with lots of new projects in the pipeline, our latest being a new Coastal Style range which includes a collection of linens,throws,accessories and furniture. So keep a look out for fresh new designs on our website and in our shop.
