When I was quite young, I had a favourite auntie called auntie Winks and very fond memories of sitting with her in the garden with a sewing basket at her feet full of colourful fabrics, cottons and fancy buttons. She would give me pieces of material to make up into lavender bags and dolls clothes and I loved every minute of the time we shared sewing and chatting together. That experience led me to a life long passion with fabric and design. Unfortunately auntie Winks is no longer with us but I have taken great pleasure passing her love of sewing and mine on to my daughter Charlotte.
